Clarification on Registry Fees when gifting and cashing out

With cash funds only, there is a standard gifting fee with all cash gifts received. This gifting fee covers the transactional costs of working with our financial partners. For credit card payments, the gifting fee is higher than bank account transfers due to credit card processing fees. This fee is a standard 2.95% for credit cards and bank accounts. Riley & Grey has opted to allow you to choose whether you want to pay this fee, or if your guests will pay this fee. Typically, guests will cover this cost, but some couples want the option to take it on themselves. On the rare occasion that a guest gifts in an international currency, there is a standard 2% exchange rate deducted from the recipient.

Under the "Registry" tab of your editor, you will go to the "Gift Tracker" within the left-hand column. There you will see categories of "total gifts received", "total money received", and "available balance". Once your available balance exceeds $0.00, you can access the transfer process through the Gift Tracker in your Registry editor. Funds are paid out to your U.S. bank account: there is no fee at this point in the process, and you'll get every penny under "available balance" since gifting fees were already deducted. Processing typically takes 3-5 business days for U.S. bank accounts.
