I already have my guest list in a spreadsheet. Can I just upload that?
If you already have your guest list in and XLS or CSV format, then we can upload that file for you. You'll need to make sure that is has the following columns, and in this order:
First Name, Last Name, Email Address, # of Plus Ones, Plus One 1 Name, Plus One 2 Name (and so on depending on how many you have), Event 1, Event 2 (and so on depending on how many you have)
Please put the name of the event in parenthesis as it corresponds with the events on your site. For example, if the first event on your website's schedule is a rehearsal dinner, the title of that column should be: "Event 1 (Rehearsal Dinner)"
Under the event column, put a "Y" (for yes) or "N" (for no) to indicate if that guest is invited to the event or not. Every guest will need an email address, and only one guest per email address unless they are listed under that person's plus ones. If any email address, # of plus ones, invitee name, or event fields are left blank, the list will not upload.
Your spreadsheet should look something like this:
You can upload the finished file yourself by clicking on "Guest Management" in your editor menu, and then the "Guest List" tab. You'll see an "Import List" button that can be used to upload your file to the website. You can either add to the list that's already there, or replace it completely. If you run into any issues, just email us the file at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll take a look.
"What if I don't have an Excel file?"
We STRONGLY recommend using our web interface to create your guest list to avoid any entry errors, which will save time and avoid frustrations with us asking you to revise your spreadsheet. The web interface works much like a spreadsheet would, and is much easier to use. Also, your completed guest list can be exported into Excel at any time! Just click the blue "Export List" button at the upper right of the list.
